On the 6 March 2012 Corunna Company ( The 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment ) Duke of wellingtons, deployed to Afghanistan in early February as the armoured infantry company in southern Helmand province the guys had only been out a number of days when one evening having just left the Patrol base on of the Warriors was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED) which instantaneously killed all 6 people onboard.
PRC Landscapes were approached by CSgt Dave Bagnall and the commanding office of Corunna Company to build a memorial garden at the side of their workplace which is approximately 40 Metre Sq. with Yorkshire stone with a centre stone engraved with all the men that died last year on there.
